I’m not usually a word of the year, or even a word of the month or week person, but I sometimes find myself being a word of the moment kind of person. Right now, that word is align.
Two passages come to mind when I think of the word, align.
The first passage, which has sort of been a life verse for me (although I have many), is Psalm 37:6:
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Basically, when you align yourself with him, you will receive what you desire – but what many may not understand is that as you align your heart with God’s heart, your desires will align with His desires. Essentially, you are transformed (like it talks about in Romans 12:2).
The other passage that comes to mind is Isaiah 55:8-9.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
This further backs up my point about aligning our hearts and also our minds with His!
Try it out!!! I promise you won’t be disappointed. When you walk with God daily, and study His word (the Bible), and do what it says, you will receive everything you need and so much more.
At the end of Isaiah chapter 5, it shares a promise (which reminded me of the photo I chose for this post):
“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” (V.12)
What do you think?
