The True Meaning of Christmas – Day 11

A season of realization.

Stop right where you are. Amidst the busyness and chaos of not only this Christmas season, but of life, in general, you should take time to pause and listen for a minute.

I have felt inclined to write this series each day for one purpose only: So that hopefully another Christmas doesn’t pass you by without realizing how much God loves you and longs for a relationship with you!

Christmas is meant to be celebrated as a means to remember all that He has done for us. We get caught up in the hustle and bustle, and often forget what and why we’re celebrating in the first place. I know I do.

I promise this will be quick.

I just want you to know what I know, because I love you and care about you. I want you to experience the joy and peace that can only come from a life spent with the one and only God, our creator, the author and finisher of our faith.

While the lights, presents and celebrations are nice, none of it matters without Jesus at the center of it all.

I pray, this Christmas season, you will experience God in a way that you never have before.

I pray that you experience His light and His presence, so that you can celebrate all that He has done for you.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
– Romans 15:13

Tomorrow, we will take a look at worship and what it means and how it brings us to a deeper relationship with God.
