He still enjoys little things like a new slinky and is willing to sit in a window so I can play with the light. I wonder what goes on inside his head. I love him.
I will always cherish photos of him with this dog. They have sort of grown up together. We got her when he was barely 4 and he has always loved her so much.

Perhaps you’ve heard the phrase “photographer’s child” or “PCS – photographer’s child syndrom”… it’s true – these kids are overly photographed. Every time I want to learn a new technique or try out a new location, I am always dragging my kiddos along. I have come to expect the grumbles and groans, but know that it’s worth it because I’m always rewarded with some new favorites. Well, when I got the new camera I’ve been longing for a couple weekends ago, my 7 yr old son was not suprised when I told him we were going to be doing pictures soon! I think he was excited for the rainy forecast because he knew I wouldn’t drag him out into a field if it was raining. But late in the day, to2day, the sun finally burned through all the clouds, and we had enough time to run out to my favorite spot so that “mom could play”. Of course, I bribed them with ice cream if they were cooperative – what kid doesn’t want ice cream??? So here are my results

I’ve been photographing this little guy since just few days after his birth. Every few months he comes back for more pictures. He is turning into such a handsome fellow! Happy Birthday, Baby B!

Sometimes I luck out and get a family that is just so natural in front of the camera that they can relax and forget that I’m even taking their pictures. It’s really a dream come true for photographers – because my goal is not to just capture your smiling faces, but to capture your personalities. This was true for the Estevane family. They arrived dressed perfectly for the woodsy occasion, and full of so much love and joy. It really shows through in these photos – the kids were so perfectly behaved and really didn’t care that I was taking their pictures! See for yourself! This family is beautiful through and through!
